On 28 and 29 March, Ventspils High Technology Park held a closing event of the business support programme Export Express gathering SMEs from Estonia and Latvia which were admitted to the program in March 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the first day of the event guest speakers like Enno Ence\nfrom MILZU!<\/em>, a cereal flakes\nmanufacturing company, Gints Mednis from Sonarworks<\/em>,\nthe company behind digital calibration software, and Ri\u010dards Fomrats from PlayGineering Systems<\/em>, a sports video\nanalytics company, shared their experience in export development, expanding the\nbusiness and building quality business relations. On the second day the\nparticipants took part in practical workshops, one of which was dedicated to\nfinding new export contacts, and the other \u2013 to the basics of product\nphotography where a professional photographer demonstrated what it takes to\nmake high-quality photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Export Express programme was implemented under the\nInterreg Estonia-Latvia cross-border project \u201cBrave Idea Support Programme\u201d (or\nB-Idea), No. Est-Lat 47. Participants of the programme were able to take part\nin 4 bootcamps with exciting lectures, master classes and individual mentoring\nsessions throughout the year, as well as 3 trade missions to Scandinavia,\nresulting in business development, new contacts and successful export deals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In total 30 companies participated in the programme \u2013 12 from\nEstonia and 18 from Latvia. 28 companies completed the training programme with\npositive results: wood products manufacturers Duck Woodworks<\/em>, Snores<\/em>, Gravtex<\/em>, Wooch<\/em>, Wesse<\/em>, food and\nbeverage manufacturers Lahhentagge<\/em>, Trik\u0101tas piens<\/em>, Andre Juustufarm<\/em>, FIE Raivo\nTeder<\/em>, Saaregurmee<\/em>, Icegarden<\/em>, Kainai\u017ei<\/em>, Siidrikoda<\/em>, glass\nand ceramics manufacturers Stikla m\u0101ja<\/em>\nand Rebeka<\/em>, jewelry manufacturer Lumin\u00e9e<\/em>, biomedicine manufacturers BioCC<\/em> and Alternative Plants<\/em>, steel products manufacturers Gizzo<\/em> and Daupro<\/em>, IT-systems and service companies SunGis<\/em>, Edurio<\/em>, DronePlan<\/em>, Overly<\/em>, and Amber Systems<\/em>,\nwind turbine manufacturer TUGE<\/em>, food\nwaste processing company Festera Bioboxes<\/em>\nand portable micro-houses manufacturer APB<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The programme was implemented by export agency Gateway & Partners Ltd. and business support organizations: Ventspils High Technology Park, Valmiera Development Agency, Business, and Development Centre of P\u00e4rnu Country and Tartu Science Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This\npublication reflects the views of the author.
