On 20th of February in The Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia were presented results of research made by Gateway&Partners where current startup ecosystem in Latvia was evaluated and suggestions for its improvement were provided.
During the project there was created a startup database, more than 90 people from the industry participated in 4 focus groups, 80 interviews with startup ecosystem players and 116 interviews with startups were conducted to provide the insights about their development phases, their finances, founders as well as opinions on the startup ecosystem. Therefore, there was analyzed startup external financing information and comparison of Latvian startup ecosystem was made on the Baltic level.
Project execution helped to indicate the most crucial and missing elements in the ecosystem of startups for its faster development.
